Meet Alex

Adventurous, Go-Getter & Footy Fanatic

If there’s one thing Alex loves, it’s sport. A passionate footy fan and wheelchair AFL player, Alex was named the 2024 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year. When he’s not playing footy, you’ll often find him behind the microphone, commentating the local Adelaide Footy League every Saturday. He’s even had the opportunity to call four AFL games on the 7AFL Kids Call!

Alex also loves spending time with his mates, playing PlayStation, heading to sporting games and cheering on his team. His favourite song is, naturally, the Adelaide Crows team song, and if he could have any superpower, he’d choose teleportation so he could go anywhere in the world.

Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at just seven months old, Alex has grown up with regular physiotherapy, occupational therapy, hydrotherapy, conductive education and Lokomat. Along the way, he’s had incredible support from his Mum, family and support workers. Through it all, Alex has never let his disability hold him back — instead, he’s continued to pursue the things he loves and take on every opportunity that comes his way.

His family are his biggest heroes, and adventure is definitely high on Alex’s list. He’d love to travel to Greece, and his dream day would be travelling to the USA to watch an NFL game.

Now, Alex is ready for his next big adventure — the Krazy Kosci Klimb. He’s excited about absolutely everything and can’t wait to take on the challenge, make memories and experience it all with the Krazy Kosci community.

Meet Cameron

Lover of Cricket, Potatoes & Smiling

Cameron's a sporty, thoughtful and always-smiling cricket lover who is happiest with a bat in his hand and a cricket net in sight!

When he’s not playing cricket, Cameron loves to share a meal together with his family or friends, and to cheer on his favourite player, Pat Cummins. He’s also a big fan of The Beatles, with “Hey Jude” guaranteed to put a smile on his face, and believes potatoes deserve a special mention for being one of the most versatile foods around!

Born with a brain bleed and later diagnosed with cerebral palsy, he has been supported by speech, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and exercise specialists throughout his journey. Their support has helped him build strength and confidence while doing the things he loves.

Now he’s swapping the cricket nets for the mountains and taking on a brand-new challenge — climbing Mount Kosciuszko!

Meet Charli

Funny, Brave & Determined Adventurer

Whether she’s swimming with friends, heading to a café, catching a movie with popcorn or spending time with her family, Charli loves being out and about. She’s the kind of person who loves an adventure!

Charli was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was one, after her parents noticed Charli wasn't hitting her milestones. Since then, Charli has had plenty of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, hydrotherapy and speech therapy, along with some surgeries that she says she didn't really like. But Charli is determined and does "lots of work to stretch my muscles and make them strong."

Her mum is her biggest hero and, if Charli could have any superpower, she’d choose teleportation so she could travel anywhere, anytime. At the top of her travel list are the Greek Islands and Singapore — with a trip to Universal Studios definitely on the agenda!

Charli can't wait to climb Kosci and experience that incredible feeling of reaching the top. Hopefully with her favourite food, hot chips, to top it all off!

Meet Henry

Humble, Inquisitive & Funny

Henry loves hanging out with friends and family, whether it’s laser tag, mini-golf, LEGO or Minecraft. But when it comes to UNO, he’s in a league of his own — he can beat the whole family!

He’s also fascinated by history, particularly World War II, and dreams of exploring England’s museums — with a visit to his Uncle Ed while he’s there!

Henry has left-sided hemiplegic cerebral palsy, which results in Henry using an Ankle Foot Orthotic to help him walk and has worked hard to learn to use his left hand more.

His determination to keep learning and trying new things is a big part of what makes him tick.

His parents are his biggest role models, while his own superpower choice says plenty about his sense of humour: invisibility, so he can prank his friends without getting caught!

Henry is looking forward to the big walk, pushing himself and enjoying the endorphin rush of reaching the top.

Meet Isaac

Curious, Competitive & Caring

Isaac is passionate about disability advocacy and helping people see beyond assumptions and stereotypes. He believes in listening to people with lived experience and encouraging others to better understand disability.

Inspired by inventor and YouTuber Mark Rober, Isaac dreams of becoming an electrical engineer and using what he learns to create things that can help others, particularly people with disability.

He’s also curious, determined and always keen to learn. Isaac loves keeping active with swimming, running and weight training, but he’s just as happy sitting down for a good chat with family and friends.

For Isaac, the Krazy Kosci Klimb is about more than reaching the summit. He loves walking because it gives him time to think and clear his mind, so he’s looking forward to enjoying the journey, taking on the mountain and seeing what’s waiting for him at the top.

Meet Lola

Mighty, Magical & Joyful

Lola might be little, but she has the heart of a lion. She is gentle, kind, resilient and intuitive, with a huge imagination and an even bigger heart. She loves making people smile and bringing happiness wherever she goes — and she certainly doesn’t give up easily.

Lola loves spending time with her family, getting creative, cooking, crafting and dreaming up magical worlds filled with rainbows and unicorns. She especially loves the beach, where she can swim, play in the water, dig in the sand and explore with her family. In summer, one of her favourite things is surfing with the Disabled Surfers Association. Being in the ocean, feeling free and having fun with everyone brings her so much joy.

Family means everything to Lola, and her biggest hero is her big sister Bonnie, who has always believed in her, encouraged her and stood by her side.

After more than 10 years of searching for answers, Lola was formally diagnosed with cerebral palsy and finally connected with a community that truly understands her. Her journey has been filled with challenges, but also incredible strength, determination and resilience.

That’s why being part of the Krazy Kosci Klimb means so much to Lola and her family. It’s an opportunity for Lola to belong, make new connections, meet people who understand her journey and celebrate what is possible.

Lola can’t wait to take on the adventure with her family, make new memories and show everyone that little can be mighty.

And after all that adventure, there’s only one thing she’ll be asking for… spaghetti!

Meet Matilda

Story Writer, Chocolate Lover & Dreamer

Matilda loves making the most of her weekends, whether she’s swimming, doing gymnastics, drawing, visiting friends or spending time with her family. She also has a wonderful imagination and a secret talent for writing stories.

Matilda was born deaf with microtia and has had the support of her hearing teacher since she was just six months old. She's thoughtful, honest and responsible, with a great sense of humour — and she’ll happily admit that she can be “a tiny bit annoying” sometimes!

If she could have any superpower, Matilda would choose to fly, so she could see all the beautiful views from above. She dreams of travelling to Switzerland and, as a big Max Jackson fan, would love the chance to meet her country music hero. Her favourite song, “Hold My Horses”, is guaranteed to put her in a good mood.

For Matilda, the perfect day would include perfectly poached eggs, the world’s best chocolate, a huge art set, talking to Max Jackson, dinner with her family and, of course, a good sleep to finish the day!

Matilda is most excited about the Krazy Kosci Klimb because she can’t wait to meet people just like her.

Meet Violet

Fearless, Loving Gold Medalist

Violet is a fearless, funny and energetic adventurer who loves keeping active and having fun. A national para gold medalist in cross country and the 800m, she’s no stranger to setting goals and giving things her all.

Violet has been supported by Cerebral Palsy Alliance since she was just six months old, with physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy helping her along the way.

When she’s not running, you’ll usually find Violet bouncing on her trampoline, swimming in the pool or playing with her two beloved dogs, Eli and Audrey. She’s also a big fan of Taylor Swift, strawberry ice cream covered in sprinkles and M&Ms, and spending time with the people she loves.

If Violet could have any superpower, she’d choose to fly so she could soar alongside the birds. And while Fiji is high on her travel wish list, her perfect day would be a little closer to home — a day of fun at Raging Waters!

Violet is most excited about the Krazy Kosci Klimb for one very special reason: meeting new friends.
