Team Leader
Being a CPA Team Leader for the Krazy Kosci Klimb is an incredibly rewarding experience for many people. It does require a significant commitment of time and energy, and the mountain environment can be challenging. Do you feel ready to take on the adventure?
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key contact for the family and lead the charge in connecting the team
- Working with your Fundraising Coach, bring the whole team together by organising catch-ups, either virtually or in person.
- Focus on nurturing relationships, especially with the family. (While we welcome family involvement in fundraising, our priority is to provide them with an enjoyable experience without added pressure.)
- Serve as the main point of contact for any concerns, keeping the events team updated to ensure everyone’s journey is going smoothly.
- Collaborate closely with the Fundraising Coach to ensure all information is shared effectively.
- Coordinate the fancy dress theme and sourcing the items.
- Make sure your team members RSVP for meetings and events.
- If the family need fundraising page set up assistance, they reach out to the fundraising coach or one of the events team.
- Ensure your families know about the fundraising tools available – feel free to chat to your fundraising coach if you have any specific requests on this.
- Copy your Fundraising Coach on all communications with the family.
Meeting Participation:
- Be available for all scheduled meetings.

All Team Leaders must obtain a Working With Children (WWC) check if they don’t already have one. A volunteer one is free.

Fundraising Coach
Key Responsibilities:
- Workflow: Ensure the sponsor’s journey remains on track by completing the checklist. and keeping the Events team well informed of progress.
- Maximise Fundraising: Work with the team to develop and execute a robust fundraising strategy. Build strong relationships with sponsors to boost contributions.
- Meeting Attendance: Be available for all scheduled meetings.
- Fundraising Events: Lead, organise, and assist with fundraising events within the team, including creating collateral and celebrating any successes.
- Fundraising Pages: Ensure your team’s fundraising pages are best in class. Keep your team’s page updated with current images, bios, and fundraising goals. You are responsible for editing the overall team page. ** access issues pls request from Events
- Strategy and Targets: Set fundraising targets and establish a clear strategy, keeping the events team in the loop.
- Fundraising Tools: Ensure fundraising tools available are being used and develop any specific ones for your team in Canva (can be updated by yourselves and sent to sponsors).
- Social Media Engagement: Encourage your team to use social media tools for individual fundraising and ensure sponsors are promoting the event through their channels.
- Kosci Social Media: Actively engage with Kosci social media platforms, sharing wins and fundraising ideas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CPA Team Leaders, sharing information and strategies. If you have experience as a Team Leader, offer mentorship.

Who is elligible to be a Team Leader or Fundraising Coach?
To be a Team Leader or Fundraising Coach, you need to be a permanent full-time or part-time employee of CPA.
What is the selection process?
Once you've registered your interest, the selection committee goes through all the applications to select the 16 Team Leaders and their Fundraising Coaches.
What's included?
Accommodation and all meals will be provided at the Jindabyne Sport & Recreation Centre on the Friday and Saturday night.
Do I have to put in an Annual Leave request for the Friday?
As this is a company event, CPA records the Friday as a work day, if it is your regular work day.
Do I get Time off in Lieu for being a Team Leader or Fundraising Coach?
The Team Leader and Fundraising Coach roles are volunteer roles so no TOIL will be given for any days.
How do I get to Jindabyne?
Travelling to and from Jindabyne is your responsibility. If you have a company car as part of your package, use that car to drive down to Jindabyne.
Most Team Leaders and Fundraising Coaches carpool together in a company car, pool car or their personal cars.
