I'm taking part in the Krazy Kosci Klimb!
It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for people with cerebral palsy or similar disability to reach the highest mountain in Australia!
My youngest son, Travis suffered a stroke in May 2024 and has come a long way since then.
He resided in hospital for 3 months relearning to walk, move again, throughout his rehabilitation he showed grit and determination. He eventually got back to school, slowly returned to play in the playground with his friends and even join the school band playing the bass drums. With each physio and occupational therapy session, he regained his coordination and continues to get stronger.
He's recently climbed the 674 steps to the second floor of the Eiffel tower and hiked 11km along the coastline of Otranto, Italy. This will be a new challenge, in his words "the climb is nearly half a marathon" and he's never walked this far before. Following Bear Grylls' inspiration journey from hospital bed to climbing a mountain, he's excited to conquer this Krazy Kosci mountain.
We would love to have your support. Your support will provide not only the essential funding for the Health and Wellness Program at Cerebral Palsy Alliance, but opportunity and independence for young adults with disability.
