Nevien Badawi from corporate sponsor Nexon Asia Pacific (Nexon), took part in the 2019 Krazy Kosci Klimb as part of Hannah Coleman’s team.

Nevien reflects on her personal Kosci experience:
‘I remember everything. It was very emotional. I remember the anticipation and excitement. The buzz and the atmosphere are so hard to put into words.
It was emotionally overwhelming and physically testing, but nothing compared to the sheer joy of being a part of it. At the finish line, we all broke down.
To see first-hand the motivation, drive and commitment of the lead participants and their families and their will to be included in everything we take for granted, it was really inspiring. I learnt a lot from Hannah.
It was life-changing, I would do it again in a heartbeat.’
A long term supporter of Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Nexon are supporting the Krazy Kosci Klimb again in 2023 with Team Trai. Plus Louise Touma will be volunteering at basecamp.
Louise's mission is to raise awareness among her Nexon colleagues and drive donations and support.
They're promoting Krazy Kosci Klimb through their corporate page, in email signatures and the monthly newsletter to customers.
An internal competition has also been launched with staff to drum up awareness.
As Louise says, the biggest issue is staying top-of-mind during the Festive season:
‘As the event is in February, we try to leverage Christmas and the giving season by providing an opportunity for our staff and customers to “give back”. We encourage our staff to raise funds through their own networks.
We are trying different tactics to help raise funds and drive awareness. We’ve had Morning Teas where our team donate a minimal amount to participate. This helps to achieve two things; raise awareness and bring our organisation together in the name of a good cause’.
Both Nevien and Louise recommend the event to any corporate partner who may be interested:
‘All CPA do is live and breathe their purpose,’ says Nevien. ‘To witness the amazing things they do, you see first-hand how much they need and rely on funds from corporates.
Plus, it really is an incredible cause. Without any hesitation, I would recommend any corporate to dive in headfirst. It will not only change your personal perspective but make an incredible difference to people with cerebral palsy.’
Louise focuses on what is important to Nexon,
‘It is important for us to give back to the local community and drive positive change with our actions. Krazy Kosci Klimb is just one of the ways we can pay it forward and make a difference. We want our employees to be a part of this, whether it’s donating or volunteering their time.'

This year Nexon will be klimbing for Team Trai. Lance, James, and Madushi (pictured left to right) are based in Sydney, and will be joined by their colleagues in Victoria.
