Cerebral Palsy Alliance's Krazy Kosci Klimb
The Krazy Kosci Klimb is one of Australia’s most inspiring, heart-warming and challenging events. Teaming up with corporate partners, young people living with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities set out to achieve a near-impossible goal – walking and wheeling their way through 18.4 kilometres of arduous terrain from Charlotte Pass to the peak of Mount Kosciuszko, return.
Supported by their teammates who journey alongside them, it’s an astounding and gruelling effort for those vying to achieve a goal which many may consider, beyond their capabilities.

Oscar shows us the magic that happens when you dream big and believe in yourself
Oscar’s life is not easy. However, despite facing day-to-day challenges in living with Down’s syndrome, Oscar at age 12, is a sports fanatic with the upmost passion and enthusiasm for life. Equipped with a can do attitude, Oscar is an inspiring example of what young people living with disabilities can achieve through dreaming big and believing in themselves.
Despite having low muscle tone and only being able to walk for 30 minutes before his legs ache and he fatigues, Oscar plans to walk the entire way! He knows it will be a huge personal challenge, but has set himself this very ambitious goal. RedBalloon and the Big Red Group leadership team will accompany Oscar on his journey, proudly walking and supporting him every step of the way.
Oscar embodies everything RedBalloon stands for. He lives a rich life full of experience, and he truly does make every moment count.
RedBalloon has a long association with Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA), through Founder Naomi Simson serving on CPA’s Council of Governors.
Every 20 hours an Australian child is born with cerebral palsy, making it the most common physical disability for which there is no known cure. Through supporting Team Oscar, you will help to enrich the lives of those living with disabilities.
