Hi, I am Jason and I am 15 years old. I have a left hemiplegia because of a stroke I suffered when I was a few days old. It means that I don't have the full use of the left side of my body.
In February 2018 I'm taking on a huge challenge - to conquer Mt Kosciuszko. It's 18km in one day to reach the highest peak in Australia. It's probably my biggest challenge so far. I'm doing it with 20 other kids that are living with a disability, and we're all really excited. I'll also have my family with me on the day to support me, although my mom says that I'll probably be just fine and she'll most likely land up having to drag my dad up on the day instead of me.
One of the main things I am looking forward to is getting to the top of Kosci and taking a photo to put up on my instagram page. The caption will be “Definitely NOT photoshopped!”
The goal of the climb is to help raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance so that they can continue to support kids like me. The money raised will be used to change the lives of kids living with cerebral palsy. Please help me by donating to this incredible cause!
