Kristy's Krazy Kosci Klimb

$15,296
raised of $15,000 goal

Hi, I am Kristy, I am 16 years old and have hemiplegic cerebral palsy because of a stroke I suffered when I was two days old. My mantra in life has always been 'I CAN DO WHAT YOU CAN DO, I JUST DO IT DIFFERENTLY.'
2017 was an interesting year for me. My proudest achievement would be delivering a speech about my life at the Grace Gala Ball in June in front of 500 people!
In July I had major surgery, an ankle reconstruction and muscle lengthening to help stabilise my right foot so I can walk more freely.
In February 2018, I am taking on perhaps my greatest challenge to date. I am going to conquer Mt Kosciuszko. That's right over 18km in one day to reach the highest peak in Australia. My parents and my brother and sister help to make up TEAM KRISTY and will be with me supporting me all the way.
My goal is to try and complete this trek without too much assistance from my team and to help raise funds for The Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
The Cerebral Palsy Alliance have given me so many opportunities over the last 16 years. Please sponsor TEAM KRISTY to help me not only conquer the Krazy Kosci Klimb but to raise money for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance so they can continue to support me and others just like me.
Thank you
Kristy
