We're taking part in the Krazy Kosci Klimb!
Fletcher, Amy, Stephen, Lucas and Benjamin.
We are delighted that Fletcher has been asked to be a lead participant in the Krazy Kosci Klimb. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for people living with cerebral palsy to reach the top of Australia!
We would love to have your support!
Your support of the Krazy Kosci Klimb will provide essential funding for the Accessible Gym and Sports Program at Cerebral Palsy Alliance. These programs improve the physical capabilities of people living with Cerebral Palsy, and also provide opportunities for making invaluable connections and friendships. These programs are life-changing and your support will be greatly appreciated.
Our Krazy Kosci Journey
Fletcher did it!!!
On Saturday 16 February Fletcher tackled the Krazi Kosci Klimb and made it to the highest point in Australia. We were particularly proud of Fletcher and his two younger brothers who supported him over the finish line. What an amazing experience it was for the whole of Team Fletcher. Thanks to the CPA for giving us the opportunity to take part in such and amazing event. Our memories will last a lifetime.
Thanks to Bilgola Plateau Public School and our local community for supporting our Krazy Kosci Klimb Fundraising by having a "favourite" Mufti Day today.
Team training walk
Today we did The Spit to Manly walk for our team training walk. It was a beautiful day, with so many beautiful vistas and it was great to spend some quality time with our team mates. Looking forward to the big walk up Mt Kosciuszko next Saturday!!
We had a great day running the Bunnings BBQ with Team Mali on Saturday and were really pleased to raise over $1600 for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Accessibe Gym and Sports Programs. We're aiming to raise another $2000 before we embark on the Kosci Klimb in 11 days time.
Belrose Bunnings BBQ
With only two weeks until Fletcher takes on the challenge of walking up Mt Kosciuszko to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Accessible Gym and Sports Programs, tomorrow we are hosting the Belrose Bunnings BBQ (2/2). You can support our fundraising by dropping in to buy a sausage sandwich or by making a donation through the Krazy Kosci Klimb website.
Great day for a training walk
With the cooler weather and overcast conditions, today was a great day for our second long training walk. This time we walked from North Curl Curl to Manly. The boys enjoyed lunch followed by an ice cream when we got to Manly and a nice cool swim when we arrived back at North Curl Curl. We walked 12.55 km which was a very good effort from the boys. Feel so lucky to have such beautiful coastal walks so close to home.
Happy New Year
Happy New Year to all our family and friends. We have welcomed in the New Year today with an amazing 7km walk from Avalon to Palm Beach. The beautiful views, cool sea breeze and the lure of a swim at Palm Beach kept the boys going.
Training in rural NSW
We completed our first training walk with the whole family whilst taking in the stunning views of the Nandewar Range in North West NSW. We walked a fairly solid 8km and will be increasing the distance on our walks over the coming weeks.
Busy in the kitchen
We've been busy making some delicious home-made Rocky Road and Apricot Balls perfect for last-minute Christmas presents. They are available to purchase for $5 a jar, with all proceeds going to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Can be purchased from our house tomorrow and Friday, or we can deliver them if you live nearby. Please contact me if you'd like to buy some.
As part of our fundraising drive we're selling Cadbury Christmas Edition Chocolates for only $2. Just what you need to get you through the pre-Christmas rush. For those of you that can't resist Giant Freddo Frogs and Caramello Koala's, we're also selling them for only $1. Please let me know if you'd like to buy some.
First Training Session
On Monday Steve and I went on our first training session for the smallest member of our team - 5 year old Ben. We walked from Palm Beach Wharf up to the top of Barrenjoey Headland and back. A total distance of about 7.5km. Not a bad effort for the little fellow. Here he is taking a break in a lovely little cave near the top of the headland.
